Romeo and Juliet Auditions

Greenwood Community Theatre will be holding auditions for the classic play Romeo and Juliet on January 31st and February 1st from 6:00-9:00 pm.

ROMEO AND JULIET is the most famous of William Shakespeare's world-renowned plays. This classic play, written in the dark days of 1594, endures as a symbol of love and tragedy for people of every generation. It will be directed by Bess Park, with combat choreography by Andrew Vorder Bruegge

            The timeless story of a boy and a girl who fall in love despite their feuding families. They elope secretly, but both perish in a terrible twist of fate. When the two families discover the tragedy they have caused, they finally end their feud once and for all! For never was a story of more woe...than this, of Juliet and her Romeo.

Roles available for all ages, male and female.

Stage combat classes will be held in rapier and dagger techniques. Call theatre for information.

Plan to come early and fill out audition forms by 6:00 so auditions can proceed on time.  Plan to stay the entire audition if at all possible.  The length of the audition will depend on how many attend. Auditions will consist of readings from the script and, perhaps, a few improvisation games.

Performance dates are March 19, 20, 26, and 27 @ 8:00 pm and March 20, 21, 27, and 28 @ 2:00 pm at Greenwood Community Theatre, 110 Main Street.

Ticket prices are $16 for Adults, $14 for Seniors and Military, $11 for students with ID and $8 for children 11 and under.
